With the upcoming release of Sean Fields Akross DVD, I wanted to mention just that. Akross should be up on Sean’s website for download this weekend and you won’t want to miss out on this fantastic effect. The DVD should be ready in a couple weeks. On the DVD is 3 effects based off the same principle of a card jumping to the box in the most impossible fashion. You have to see this to believe it. The effects are:

Akross: A card is chosen from one of the two different colored decks. Lets say red. You sign that red cartd on the face and lose it in the pack in the red deck and set those cards in the box. You have the blue cards shown on the backs and also placed back in the box. With a snap the red signed card disappears from the red deck and ends up in the blue deck. So impossible. You have to see this to believe it.

Singularity: Half of the deck is placed in the box and out of reach from the magician. The other half has a card chosen and is lost in that half of the pack. With a snap, that card disappears and the magician picks up the box with half the cards in it. The magician spreads that half to reveal one face down card…your selected card.

Duality: Two cards are shown, in the videos case, the Queen of Hearts and the 3 of Clubs. Both cards are shown and one is put face down onto the floor. The other is shown and with a wave, that card in your hand turns onto the card sitting on the floor. This two card transpo is sure to blow any magicians mind.

Additional teachings will be found on the DVD, so you won’t want to pass up on this sweet, sweet DVD. Visit Sean’s website at www.seanfields.net

Wynns: My opinion

Wynn Playing CardThis past week I bought some Wynns off my friend and I finally recieved them today.  I recieved 4 blue and 4 red.  About 15 minutes ago I finally opened a pack of red Wynns.  Here is a small and short little review on the Wynns.

Packaging:  Well done, but just like all of the other decks of cards.  It comes with a blank card and a card that has a bar code on it.  I guess you can throw these away as they have no playing value.  The box looks the same on the outside as regular bees but the cards are very different as you know.

Handling:  The handling of the cards from the 5 minutes of fiddling with them is very nice.  As you have heard, they do not fan as well as other cards, but in my opinion they are very nice for cuts and fans aren’t always necessary.  They have a thicker stock and I think they will last longer than a Standard deck of Bicycles.

Feeling:  The cards are the best I have ever felt.  They are very soft feeling and it helps makes cuts easier.  They have phenomenal edges and aren’t too rough as other cards are.

Back Design:  I personally love this back design.  The Wynn’s symbol is so elegant.  A white symbol on a blue/violet or Burgundy back is a phenomenal idea.  The solid color really stands out with the white borders.  All in all I love the back.

All in all, this deck is my favorite deck I have ever handled, and I have handled quite a few.  I can’t wait to order more and I think that you should get them before there are gone!
